I saw Sunday's Solar Eclipse ON My House - and here are the pictures to prove it!

My town of Albuquerque NM had the best view of the Annular Solar Eclipse on the evening of May 20, 2012. I missed getting to one of the viewing events, which was sad, but it turns out I had the best view ever right on the front wall of my house! As totality approached, the leaves on the trees across the street acted like pinhole cameras, giving us beautiful images and shadows for four houses in a row. But mine had the biggest and best shadows. Here they are for your post-eclipse viewing pleasure:

At my front door, the shadows are just beginning to be noticeable
about 15 minutes before totality:

Eclipse shadows on my neighbor's house:

Getting closer to totality:

The light changes ...

Sunlight and shadow ...

Totality!

Another view at totality, showing the "ring of fire" -
complete circle of sunlight around the moon's shadow:

And it's over! The moon starts to move off the sun-disk.

How's that for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
