March 2012 Energy Forecast: The Pool

March is usually an unsettled month - at least in terms of wind - but the energy of March 2012 will hopefully be on the tranquil side, dear readers. According to my guidance from the Star+Gate Cards, the energy for this March is The Pool:

The Pool is a state or condition of rest, tranquility, and reflection. It's a time to pause and integrate the lessons of the cycles we've completed, as we "recharge our batteries" for the next movement forward. The only downside to this archetypal energy is that we may become stagnant if we "rest on our laurels" too long. Given the rapid pace of planetary evolution these days, that's usually not a problem!

The major theme of this month will be completion. It's a great time to wind up old projects, clean out the garage (or maybe just a closet - you do need to rest, too!), and if you haven't already - do your taxes! This dovetails nicely with the energy of the impending Mercury Retrograde cycle, which begins on March 12 and ends April 4.

Also coming up this month is the Spring Equinox on March 19 at 11:15 pm Mountain Time. Since fall and winter are my favorite seasons, I may go into mourning at that time, but I will carry on and bring you a more detailed forecast for that important quarter-day. Stay tuned!

The Lover: Energy Forecast for February 2012

Can you believe the first month of 2012 has already passed and gone? Today, February 1, I looked to my Star+Gate cards for the intuitive energy-weather of the month. Fittingly for this month that holds Valentine's Day, my guides are telling us to be like The Lover ~

The Lover is a way of being in the world that is giving of ourselves, open to intimacy, and passionate! And this way of being extends beyond our preparations and celebrations on February 14, into all areas and aspects of life. Let your self go and LOVE each day as it comes! Love being in the world, awakening to the sunshine, walking beneath green (or winter-bare trees), and viewing the sunset and deepening dusk at day's end. Love each moment you're awake and breathing, and each little thing you do during the day - whether it's washing the dishes, attending to your *work*, creating a masterpiece (or playfully bringing color and form into being). Love the time you spend with others, love your animal friends, and love your time in solitude:

As with all archetypes, here is a down side to The Lover's energy: it can be possessive. While it's true that you can't really let go of something unless you've held onto it, it takes a fine discernment to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. Perhaps this month it's best to put our attention into the giving (of ourselves) rather than the holding-on.

Themes for this month revolve around I Want / I Have. The focus on resources at all levels, including pleasure, beauty, and comfort. "More" is not always more, and when you choose quality and substance over the superficial need to possess, you are truly walking under the light of The Lover.
